Ethel the Sheep and Family!
Understandably one of my most popular items!
This is a whole
flock of companionable furniture, with:
All have a sturdy
wooden frame with individually handcarved limewood heads, stained and
waxed. They are. fully upholstered with real fleece which is
removable for cleaning.
Stan has wrought iron horns made by a local blacksmith.
Adults and older
teenagers love them as practical, comfortable and fun pieces while
younger children adore them and use them in imaginative games and also
as an item to lay on and over or to lean against for watching videos!
The large sheep are great for babies learning to stand as they’re solid
and give a good grip. I debated whether to put them on castors but they
are so much safer without and the joy of Ethel is that unlike a rocking
horse, a young child can be left to play with out ‘hands on’ parenting.
. . so you can enjoy a cup of tea!
Each sheep is a
unique individual carved at a farm workshop where the sheep graze just
outside the window. They then travel to the seaside where they are
upholstered in the sail loft on Portland, surrounded by all the Olympic
